Harold William Puckett, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, in his hometown of Paris, Kentucky. Born on February 16, 1941, in the same close-knit community, Harold's life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the simple pleasures of a life well-lived.
He was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 61 years, Constance "Connie" Sue Clark Puckett, with whom he built a life filled with love and mutual respect. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Mark Anthony (Jeannie) Puckett, Rebecca Lynn (Scotty) Hulett, and Lisa Ann (Robert) Setters, who in turn blessed them with four grandchildren, Kassie Leann Berryman, Eric (Mahala) Wess, Jaime (Jordan) Willoughby, and Elizabeth (Jake) Lawill. The joy of his family was further multiplied with the arrival of his great-grandchild, Christopher Aiden Willoughby.
Harold's professional life was characterized by his dedication and skill. He worked in construction for Clark Home Improvement, where he was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. His expertise as a heavy equipment operator was respected by all who worked alongside him. Harold also spent time nurturing plants and flowers at Smits Greenhouse, where his green thumb helped bring beauty to the lives of others. Harold also spent countless hours through the summer heat working in tobacco alongside his family.
Beyond his work, Harold was a man of many interests. He had a passion for softball, both playing and watching, and his love for the game was infectious. Square dancing was another of Harold's joys, where he and Connie could often be found do-si-doing the night away with friends and family. His love for the outdoors was evident in his meticulous yard work, which not only showcased his home but also served as a sanctuary for him to enjoy nature's beauty.
Harold's life was one of connection and service, as he was an active and beloved member of his community. His warm smile and generous spirit will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He also served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren he is also survived by ten brothers, Elmer, Carl, James (Carter), Billy Joe, Johnnie, Henry, Stanley (Allison), William (Monica), Rickey and Larry (Donna) Puckett; and his three sisters, Mildred Cameron, Jenny (Dale) Ransdell, and Linda (Doris) Winstead, sister-in-law, Barbara Puckett.
Preceding him in death were his brother, Charles Puckett, and his sisters, Alice Faye Puckett and Eva Mae Puckett, who have welcomed him into eternal rest with open arms.
Harold William Puckett's life was a beautiful patchwork of dedication, love, and joy. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those he touched. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of unwavering love, steadfast commitment to family, and the simple joys that make life so precious.
