Victoria Sue Fosket Obituary

Victoria Sue Fosket, known affectionately as Vickie by her friends and family, passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on September 5, 1955, in Charlotte, Michigan, Vickie was a lifelong resident of the state, ultimately passing away peacefully in Lansing, Michigan, after a valiant battle with COPD.


Vickie was a proud alumnus of Charlotte High School and went on to further her education at Davenport College, where she equipped herself with the knowledge and skills that would define her successful career. She dedicated many years of her life to the insurance industry, where she excelled as a Senior Commercial Underwriter and achieved the prestigious designation of Certified Insurance Counselor. Her professional life was marked by a strong work ethic, a sharp mind, and a commitment to excellence that earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.


Beyond her professional accomplishments, Vickie's true joy came from the time she spent with her family, particularly her beloved granddaughters, Angelina Eitniear-Fosket and Alexandria Fosket. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and her love and influence will undoubtedly continue to shape their lives for years to come. Her son, Vernon Fosket, will remember his mother as a guiding light, a source of unwavering support, and a beacon of love.


Vickie also shared a special bond with her siblings, David and Dennis Fosket, and her sisters, Laurel Williamson (Fosket) and Sharon Kozachik (Fosket), who will miss her laughter, her generous spirit, and the countless memories they created together. Vickie's family was the cornerstone of her life, and the legacy of her loving and generous nature will live on through them.


An avid reader, Vickie found solace and adventure within the pages of her favorite books. Her sense of humor was one of her defining traits, bringing smiles and laughter to those around her even in the most challenging of times. Vickie also had a special place in her heart for her cats, who were her constant companions and brought her immense joy and comfort throughout her life.


Vickie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she often went out of her way to help others in any way she could. The warmth of her personality and her funny, light-hearted nature will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is proceeded in death by her Father Vernon Fosket and her mother Joan Fosket and many others.
