James T. Nichols, age 81, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in a Texarkana hospital. He was born October 10, 1943 in Texarkana, Texas to Truitt and Abbie Roberts Nichols. James was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church and served on the deacon board. He was a retired insurance underwriter and enjoyed watching golf and the Dallas Cowboys. James loved God, his family and his church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

James left to cherish his memory, his wife of 41 years, Martha Nichols of Queen City, Texas; brother, Ron Nichols and wife Kathy of Humble, Texas; nieces and nephews, Chad Chiles (Vanessa), Rusty Chiles (Jessica), Cody Copeland (Stephanie), Chad Nichols (Adrienne), Eric Nichols (Courtney); great nieces and nephews, Austin Chiles, Joseph Bell, Riley Chiles, Xander Chiles, Dillon Copeland, Brooklyn Copeland, Layla Dunsmore, Lincoln Chiles, Alaina Dunsmore, Caleb Chiles, Colton Chiles, Kennedy Nichols, Ethan Nichols, Walker Nichols, Savannah Nichols; and a number of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Faith Assembly of God Church, officiated by Rev. Matthew Kelley, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, before the service, at the church.

Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Faith Assembly of God, building fund. A cause that was very special to James.
