John "Jack" T. Auwetter age 93, of Mickleton, NJ. passed November 19, 2024. Jack was a graduate of Swedesboro High School Class of 1948 and the University of Delaware Class of 1952. He entered the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Jack worked as a chemist for E.I. duPont deNemours in Gibbstown and spent 30 years as a chemist for Shell Oil Company in Houston, TX.
He enjoyed watching the Phillies, gardening, and had a great love for his flowers. Jack was a longtime member of Evangelical Church in Clarksboro and had a very strong love for the Lord. He was in prayer daily, praying for those in need - Jack lived his life representing the Lord!
He is survived by his niece, Janet Russell (Dale) and his nephew, Steven Young (Susan). Also, by special friends, Jim and Barbara Truhan.
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, November 23 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua NJ 08051 where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Military Honors and Burial will follow at Eglington Cemetery.
