Harry Allen Shain Obituary

Harry Allen Shain, 69 of Bethany, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at his residence under the care of his family with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice.


Harry was born on October 12, 1955 in Meigs County, OH. He was the son of the late Harry Lewis Shain and Hazel (Snyder) Shain.


Harry retired as a Coal Miner from McElroy Mine. Many will remember Harry for his love of hunting and for fighting chickens.


In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his five siblings, George Shain, Susan Hayes, Danny Shain, Charles "Charlie" Shain and Ralph Shain.


Harry is survived by his two sons, Clayton Shain and his wife, Laren of Racine, OH and Jordon Shain of Follansbee, WV, a grandson, Blake Shain, former wife and caretaker, Carol (Wilson) Shain, five siblings, Norma Clark and her husband, Bill of Columbus, OH, Alma Ruth Johnson of Racine, OH, Robert “Sam” Shain and his wife, Ruth of Letart Falls, OH, Paul Leonard Shain of Letart Falls, OH and Kathy Searles of Racine, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
