Eva Lynn Grape, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, surrounded by those she loved dearly. She was born September 16, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma to father Donald A. Washburn and mother Eva Mae Short, both preceding her in death. Also preceding her in death were her siblings; brother, Don Washburn and sister, Lana Lape.
Eva, affectionately known as “Lynn”, was loved by many, whom she loved fiercely in return. She was beautiful, inside and out, which in turn, allowed her to cultivate a beautiful life as well as a lasting legacy. Lynn loved shopping, but she especially loved making things beautiful. She is fondly remembered for blinging everything, from herself to her shoes. This beautification mirrored the woman she was to those who knew and loved her. She was a nurses aide later in life, but if you ask anyone, her greatest joy came from tending to her family. She was married on July 6, 1962 to Harry, her very best friend. Lynn loved Harry dearly; they were inseparable and they spent 62 years looking after one another in only the way best friends can. Harry was so proud of his wife, for not only was she a wonderful mother, but a devoted follower of Christ. She loved church and when she could not attend, she would make a point to watch all of her favorite speakers, such as Jeremiah and Billy Graham, sometimes waking Harry up in the middle of the night to have him join her.
Lynn will truly be missed by all who love her and look on her memory, fondly.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry Grape; Daughter Tami McGuffin and husband, Mark; Daughter Beverly Peterson and husband, Joe; Grandchildren Beau, Chase and Misty; Great Grandchildren Madison and husband, Jason, Aiden, Brennan and Christian; Great-Great Granddaughter, Indie; and an extensive network of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
