Mrs. Judy Mihelic passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 19, 2024, at her home in Monroe, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was born in Livingston, Tennessee, on March 21, 1941, to the late Fredrick Hooper Whited and Ola Irene Duty.

Throughout her life, Judy was a devoted member of the Livingston First Baptist Church, where her faith played a central role in everything she did. Judy was known for her kind and loving spirit, and her heart of gold touched everyone who knew her. She had an innate ability to make others feel welcome, valued, and loved. She was always the first to offer help, whether it was with a kind word, a warm meal, or a helping hand.

Judy’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished with all her heart. Her love for them was boundless, and she was a constant presence in their lives. She also had a deep love for crafting, particularly crocheting, and spent many hours creating beautiful pieces with her hands, which she gave with love to those she cared about. Through her creativity and generosity, Judy found many ways to express her love and make the lives of those around her a little brighter.

Judy was a woman of great faith, and she lived her life with the values of love, kindness, and service to others. She drew strength from her faith and lived every day with a deep sense of gratitude and devotion to her Lord and Savior.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Amanda Dunn of Monroe, TN; her son, Fredrick Murphy and wife Amy of MI; grandchildren, Jaxson Dunn, Able Dunn, Joe Luke Dunn, Nichole Murphy, Steven Murphy and wife Darla, Anthony Murphy and wife Kersten, and Katlin Cardenas and husband Aladdin; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy; her loving sisters, Gail Colson and husband Jerry of the Independence Community, Anna Coleman of Murfreesboro, TN, and Janice Ledford and husband Bruce of Lebanon, TN; stepchildren, Charlie Mihelic and wife Stefanie of Cookeville, TN, and Darlene Bean and husband Keith of Shelby Township, MI, Diane Powell and husband Jeff of Gross Point park, MI; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a special part of her life; daughter-in-law, Angela Mihelic of Rochester, MI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved stepson, Thomas Mihelic; stepdaughter, Donna Bean; son-in-law, Jason Dunn; and her dear sisters, Brenda Colson and Debbie Reagan.

Judy's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind.
