STILLWATER – Keefe E. Hagadorn, “Poppy”, 84, of County Road 70, died peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on November 19, 2024, following a brief illness. Born May 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Clarence and Edith White Hagadorn.
Keefe worked as a Union Carpenter with the Local 370, Troy for many years. He also worked for D & B Acoustical for some time. A skilled carpenter and overall handyman, he built his current family home and enjoyed helping his family with many carpentry projects.
Keefe was a longtime member of the Arvin Hart Fire Department, serving as a past Assistant Chief. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, and hunting and also traveling with his wife Mary.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Burch Hagadorn, whom he married January 14, 1977, children Kim(Jerry) Tommasone, James(Esther) Hagadorn, Lisa (Paul) Remington, Vicki Temperato, MaryBeth Arthurs, Monica (Harold) Hulett, and Pamela Sue Dalton, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, siblings Nancy Ody and Bessie (Joe) Belanger, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson Matthew Morelli, and sisters Elizabeth Gowell, Doris Schultz, Helen Marshall, and Jeanette Marshall, as well as his brothers, Charles, David, and Robert Hagadorn.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 21; from 1-2 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 2PM. Burial will take place immediately following in Gansevoort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in loving memory of Keefe E. Hagadorn.
