Milin-Campbell, Branka

1961 - 2024

With profound sadness, the family and friends of Branka Milin-Campbell announce her passing early in the morning of November 19th, 2024 after a battle with cancer.

Branka, daughter of Branco Stojic and Radmilla Burt (both deceased), was the niece of Mirko and Ljuba Milinkov, cousins Tatijana and Dejana Milinkov. She is survived by Clyde Campbell, Sean and Justin Campbell, her beloved sister-in-law Karen and Curtis Millette, nieces Kamika and Chantal Campbell. Branka is also deeply mourned by her sister Tara Stojic and their son Nico, who Branka sadly had not yet met.

Branka devoted her life to the education and protection of children. A long-time director of Brock Early Learning Centre, she also worked at Lescon Learners and Bennington Heights CCC. Branka was a valued volunteer for BEST English Language Services and Caring for Kids. The impact she had on the lives of children in Toronto is everlasting.

Branka's sense of humour was world-class. Her deadpan delivery was hilarious; her sarcasm could split wood. An accomplished painter, hostess, costume designer, makeup artist, teacher, and advocate, Branka made everyone feel welcome and loved. Throughout her life she surrounded herself with amazing people who will carry her torch and memory with honour. It is unimaginable that she is no longer with us.

She was intensely curious, loved books and beaches, shoes, scarves, and children. So many people held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind a circle of family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues whose lives she touched in magical, meaningful, and unforgettable ways.

May your memories of Branka be a blessing forever. May God carry her gently into his kingdom and guide those of us who must live without her.

Be humble for you are made of earth.  Be noble for you are made of Stars.
