DelmaJean “Delma” Viola Clausen, age 83, was born on December 16, 1940, in Worthington, MN. She was the daughter of Harvey and Etta (Bryngelson) Gerdes. Delma married Larry Clausen on October 9, 1962, in Sioux Falls, SD. Delma loved her family above all. Her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren meant the world to her and she lived for them. Delma loved her God and worshipped him every day. She was so forgiving and never held a grudge no matter what. Her family will always remember how Christmas was her favorite holiday and the candy making, baking, and decorating started right after Thanksgiving. She made the holidays so special and made everyone feel special. Delma passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at her residence in Brewster, MN.

     Delma is survived by her husband, Larry Clausen; children, Shelly (Roger) Brunk, Tony (Louise) Clausen, and Robin (Tony) Pumilia; grandchildren, Sara Clausen, Brandon (friend Heather) Cihak, Zane (Heaven) Brunk, Justin Brunk, Zakk Pumilia, Kent Brunk, Cody (friend Brooke) Clausen, and MaKayla Schookley; nineteeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, John & Kay Clausen, Janice Krumwiede, Jim & Marie Clausen, Dean & Lois Clausen, Marlin & Marietta Clausen, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Etta & Harvey Gerdes; parents-in-law, Bernice & Jack Clausen; granddaughter, Martina Engbarth, sisters and their spouses, Eileen & Richard Van Langen, Gayla & Glen Tiesler, and Bonnie & George Pomerenke, and nephews, John Clausen Jr. and Mike Van Langen.

     Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by memorial services at 10:00 a.m., at the Worthington Christian Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Theodora K. Hall, friend of family, officiating. Music will be provided by Diane Mick and Matt Russell. Delma’s nephews, Duane Tiesler, Shawn Clausen, Mike Clausen, and Jerry Pomerenke will serve as pall bearers.
