Dean Scott Wolf passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Lakewood Health System in Staples, MN at the age of 63. A Memorial Service in his honor will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Clarissa, MN immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or a humane society of your choice.

Dean was born on March 11, 1961, to Gasper and Sheila (Hoffman) Wolf in Long Prairie.  Originally living in Minneapolis, they moved to Eagle Bend and eventually settled on a farm North of Clarissa.  While attending school, he was a member of both the Football and Wrestling teams earning letters in both sports.  After graduating in 1979, he worked briefly at Long Prairie Packing before venturing out of state to work in construction.  He later returned to Minnesota and attended Alexandria Vo-Tech for their Truck Driver Training program with his brother, Jeff.  This led to his profession as an Over the Road Truck Driver – an occupation he held most of his adult life until he was forced to retire due to health reasons.  Not one to be slowed down, he didn’t let his health issues sideline him and helped his dad and Lillian when he could.  

Even though Dean spent most of his time driving for a living, he enjoyed taking vacations with family and friends.   In recent years, he had traveled multiple times to Sault Ste Marie, MI with his sister to visit relatives on their mom’s side.  In addition to traveling, Dean liked to eat so he learned to cook and was proud of his tasty BBQ ribs. 

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Gasper and Sheila Wolf; brother, Gasper Jr; stepdaughter, Kelly Bentz and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.  He is survived by his siblings, Jeff Wolf; Christine (Kurt) Niemeyer Wolf; niece, Michelle Wolf; nephews, Jesse Wolf and Blake Niemeyer; grandnephews, Bryce and Kaden, along with grandniece, Mia, stepchildren, Scott and Brian Bentz, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
