Brian J. Gonterman Obituary

Brian Joel Gonterman, 49, formerly of Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Carle Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

He was born on September 19, 1975 in Burlington, IA to Gary and Debi (Craver) Gonterman. They preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughters, Kala Haus of Ames, IA, Heather (Brock) Long of Monona, IA, six grandchildren, Maverick Haus, Sharon Haus, Randy Haus Jr, Amara Gonterman, Carter Long, Mason Long and step mother, Sharon Gonterman.

Brian was an over the road truck driver for DeBoar Trucking, later for Martin Trucking and lastly for Butler Trucking. He was an avid dog lover including his “baby” Misty. He enjoyed flying his drones and R/C airplanes. Most of all Brian was a loving father, grandfather and friend.

Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
