Marla Jean Blevins, 88, of Geneva, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

She was born December 2, 1935, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Stephen and Melva (Forney) Zoblisein.

Marla married Jimmie Housel on January 2, 1953, and shared many wonderful years with him before his passing in 2005.

Marla was always very active, working out regularly. She enjoyed singing and would often find time multiple times a week to go somewhere and sing whether it was a jam session or karaoke. She was a member of VFW #943, Eagles Club, Antique Engine Club, and found time to volunteer at Jefferson Community Center.

Marla is survived by her husband, Gary Blevins whom she married on May 18, 2013; her children, Allen Housel, Denise (Rick) Helton, Doreen (Lloyd) Morris, and Debra (Harold) DeAngelo; brothers, Joseph and Ronald Zoblisein; sister, Darlene Radwancky; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmie Housel; her parents; granddaughter, Jamie Savel; and her brother, Robert Zoblisein.

A private service will take place at her final resting place in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 3140 E. Center St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
