James Earl Redden, 90, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on November 19, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Born October 23, 1934, in Brooksville, Kentucky, son of Edward and Sudie (nee Mockbee) Redden. James enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He had a passion for gardening which he did with the help of his wife.
James was the beloved husband of almost 71 years to Agnes (nee Bravard) Redden; loving father of Ricky (Sandy) Redden and Vickie (Tom) Thompson; proud grandfather of Nathan Redden, Jason (Erin) Redden, Danialle (Ryan) Horner, Mistie (Chad) Clifton, and Megan (Jeff) St. John; great-grandfather of Logan Redden, Austin Redden, Dustin Redden, Tyler Clifton, Ashley Clifton, McKenzie Miller, Sydnie Hamm, Bailey Horner, Jacob Hamm, Christopher Horner, Cody Horner, Addie St. John, and Jolee St. John; great-great-grandfather of Bret Miller and Anna Miller.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melissa Hamm; brothers, Edward Redden, Jr. and Ralph Redden.
The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Allensburg Church of Christ, 7105 Abernathy Rd., Lynchburg, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service.
Interment will take place following the funeral service at Westboro Cemetery.
