Opal Hall Miller, 88, resident of Oaklane Drive, widow of Dr. Robert “Bob” Marion Miller, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born January 31, 1936, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Luther Brownlo and Mattie Marie Liner Hall. She was a 1954 graduate of Parker High School. Opal served as secretary for a number of churches and retired from Upton’s Clothing Store in Greenwood.
She was a member of Harris Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Brian Miller of the home, and Kyle (Kim) Miller of Greenwood; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Ruby Louise Snider; a grandson, Zachary Doc Miller; a son, Rev. Mark Miller; a brother, Johny Hall; and six sisters, Hermie Kyle Hall, Ruth Fields, Francis Smith, Blanch Ramsey, Marth Herrira, and Marie Scott.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday in Oakbrook Memorial Park with Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating.
The family will be at the home on Oaklane Drive will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM– 12:30 PM Thursday.
