Lola Mae (nee’ Pennington) Shaffer, 93, of Loudendale, passed away on November 19, 2024 at Glasgow Hills of Journey.

She was born December 6, 1930 in Charleston, WV. A daughter of the late, Homer and Nellie (McCormick) Pennington. Also preceding her in death are her husband of 74 years, James A. Shaffer; sons, Roger, Donald and James Shaffer.

Lola cherished her family. She was a homemaker all of her life and was very dedicated to her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters-in-law, Christina and Lynn; granddaughters, Beth (Chad), Julie (Kerry), Amy and Hannah. She shared a very special and close relationship with Hannah all her life. She also has many great grandchildren that she delighted in.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM., Friday, November 22, 2024 at Good Shepherd Mortuary with Pastors Chuck Pennington and Frank Goff officiating. Lola will be laid to rest immediately following services in Graceland Memorial Park.

Family and friends will gather for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
