Carl Edwin Johnson, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, November 19 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Carl was born on October 7, 1954 in Nome, AK, the son of Curtis Johnson Sr. and Ruth (Dybvig) Johnson. Carl's family moved around due to his father's military service but eventually settled in the Twin Cities area where he attended school at Minneapolis Central.

Carl will always be remembered by his father, Curtis Sr.; siblings, Dan (Shirley) Johnson of Crystal, Rebecca (Robert) Linstrom of South Haven, MI, Curtis Johnson Jr. (Lisa) of Minneapolis; nieces and nephews, Rachel Johnson, John (Monique) Linstrom and their daughter, Chloe, Benjamin (Emily) Linstrom and their son, Eero, Samuel Linstrom, Grace Johnson; his special friend, Beth Jamison; as well as his other extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth and brother, Phil.

A Celebration of Carl's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 30 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Northfield. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM. Interment will be held privately at the Union Prairie Cemetery of Lanesboro.
