WESTFIELD – Ruth E. (Leamer) Alonge, 62, passed away peacefully Monday evening at

home with her loving boys at her side following a lengthy illness.

Ruth was born November 10, 1962, in Westfield, NY, a daughter of the late Ralph F. and Shirley

L. (Arneman) Leamer.

She attended and graduated from Ripley Central School in the Class of 1980. While in school,

Ruth was a cheerleader, played volleyball, and participated in many activities. Following

graduation, she went on to Jamestown Business College and earned her Associates degree.

Ruth worked many years for Welch Foods at their business office in Westfield in the HR

department until their closure and relocation and continued her career with Nestle Purina in

Dunkirk, NY in their HR department.

In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres,

quilting, scrapbooking, gardening spending time with her cherished friends since bible school,

Becky Wood, Cheryl Orton, and Kathy Holland, but most of all, she treasured her times spent

with her family, especially her two sons.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her sons David and Daniel Alonge, her sisters, H. Eileen (Paul) Dorman, Carol (Chris) Warner, her brothers, R. Wayne Leamer, Gary (Polly) Leamer, Earl (Becky) Leamer, Norm (Cheryl) Leamer, and Glenn (Deanna) Leamer.

Family and friends will be greeted at Ruth’s home, 44 Union St., Westfield from

10AM to 1PM on Saturday November 23, 2024 for remembrance, reunion, and refreshments.
