Minnie Pearl Tucker, 70, of Imbler, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, WA. A Funeral Service will be held at Summerville Baptist Church on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:00am. Minnie was born on October 8, 1948 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Bill and Naomi (Cox) Thornton. She resided in Snyder, OK; White Sands Missle Range, NM; Wurzburg/Kitzengen Germany; Spanaway, WA and Imbler, OR. She attended schools in Snyder Elementary, Snyder Middle School and graduated from Snyder High School where she was in the Jazz and Marching Bands and was voted Band Queen her senior year. She married Albert Tucker on July 6th in Fortsill, Oklahoma. Minnie was employed with the City of La Grande Parks and Recreation as their Recreation Coordinator. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and grandkids activities. Minnie is survived by her children, Jean ann Pierson (Kirk) of Pendleton, OR and William Andrew Tucker of Tygh Valley, OR; 5 grandchildren, Justin Brainerd (Kayla (Hafer), Arielle Dawn Sutton, Jacob Sterling Sutton, Jaelee Pierson, Kennedy Pierson and Noah Pierson. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; parents, Bill and Naomi Thornton; grandson, Jeffrey Paul Brainerd and mother-in-law, Myrtle Miller.
