Jeffrey George Micklos, 57, of Washington D.C., passed away on November 10th, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Jeff was born on July 9th, 1967, to Patricia and Edward Micklos in Trumbull, Connecticut. After Jeff graduated from Trumbull High School in 1985, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Jeff continued his education at The Catholic University of America (CUA), Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1993.

Jeff started his legal career in government service working for the Health Care Finance Administration before joining the Foley & Lardner law firm where he became partner in 2001. Jeff then took on a leadership role with the Federation of American Hospitals where he served for 11 years. In 2015, Jeff became Executive Director of the Health Care Transformation Task Force (HCTTF), a start-up organization dedicated to value based care, recently celebrating their 10th year anniversary.

Jeff met the love of his life Monica Melady while an undergraduate at Villanova University. They later settled in Washington DC, were married for 32 years and raised four children.

Jeff's passion for live music started at a young age and took off when in 1984 he saw REM perform at the University of Bridgeport, dancing with the band on stage before the night’s end. His love for music was shared and passed down to his children. Jeff's other passion was sports which he lived by coaching his children’s soccer and basketball teams and attending many athletic events including traveling the country to see his beloved Villanova Wildcats basketball team.

Jeff is survived by his wife Monica, his children Samantha, Zachary, Katherine and Emily, and his three siblings Jonathan Micklos, Sue Kilcoyne, and Gregg Micklos.

The Viewing will be held on Thursday November 14th from 5pm - 8pm at Pumphrey’s Funeral Home in Bethesda, MD, and the Funeral Mass will be held on Friday November 15th at 2pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Washington D.C.

Following the Mass we will have a: Celebration of Life Friday 11/15 from 4pm-8pm at Clyde's 5441 Wisconsin Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 (downstairs Race Bar)
