Faye Paul Holder, 70, of Hamlet, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

She was born September 22, 1954, in Hamlet, daughter of the late Johnny Paul and Lois Beatrice Hodges Paul.

Faye worked in textiles in previous years with Springs Mills. In more recent years, she enjoyed working as a seamstress alongside her sisters, sometimes referred to as the Golden Girls, at Our Daily Threads. Faye loved spending time with her sisters. She also enjoyed sitting on the porch, going out to eat and getting pedicures, going to church singings, and the beach was known as her “happy place”.

Above everything that Faye was and loved, she dearly loved her family. She was selfless and dedicated to them, being the best mother and Nanny, and enjoyed having many bonus kids, mainly her children’s friends, over the years. She treated everyone equal and with respect. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Along with her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Ray Holder; daughter, Melissa Player; brother, Don Paul; and sister, Cathy Manship.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Chris Player (Kristy) of Hamlet and Jennifer Brown (George) of Laurel Hill; grandchildren, Taylor Player, Noah Player, Logan Brown, and Tyler Player; sisters, Lorraine Honeycutt of Hamlet, Brenda Sellers of Bennettsville, and Sandy Scott of Marston; special friend, Jill Mooring; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Casper.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.

The funeral service will be Friday, November 15, 2024 at 2:00pm at Nebo Wesleyan Church, Hamlet, with Pastor Jeff Collins, Bishop Marvin Taylor, and Pastor Tony Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
