Jeffrey Max Hood passed away on November 6, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on September 30, 1957, to Delmer Ray Hood and Bessie Marie Griffin Hood, in Athens, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Jeffrey grew up in the Athens and Murchison area. He was the owner and operator of Hood Production Systems for many years in Athens. In his spare, he enjoyed anything outdoors and riding around in his truck with his buddy “Bubba”. He had a great sense of humor and loved cracking jokes and making people laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Rachel Ann Hood; sister, Julie Hood Anderson and husband Ronald; brother, Delmer Ray Hood Jr.; several nieces and nephews; special friends at Hood Production Systems; and his precious fur baby, Bubba Hood.

A private graveside will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
