It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David W. Cameron on October 30, 2024, at the age of 87. David was born on December 11,1936 in Miami, Florida, to George and Senja (Nevala) Cameron.
David grew up in Sunnyside New York, a neighborhood in Queens and lived in the Kallman Home for Children in Brooklyn, New York. David met his beloved wife and love of his life, Mary C. (Baughman) Cameron, in 1955 at Morehead State University in KY. David and Mary lived in Gettysburg, OH from 1958-2001. Their retirement years were spent living north of Ansonia, OH on the Baughman family farm. He is known for his love of photography and always trying to capture the best shot. He also enjoyed carpentry work and was known for his many remodeling projects. David loved his family and he was a great father. He had a great sense of humor and was always very gracious to everyone he met. David spent the last six years of his life at Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Englewood, OH so he could be near his daughter, Heather. He had a great appreciation for all of the people who cared for him at Brookdale.
David was a high school band director at Bradford High School for the first half of music teaching career and a junior high band director at Northmont City Schools for the last half of his teaching career. After retirement, he worked at Hampshire Cabinetry in Piqua, OH for several years.
Proceeded in joining the Lord: Mary Cameron (wife), Jean and Jerry Muroff (sister and brother -in-law), and Joan Parry (sister), George Baughman (brother-in-law)
Survived by: son David Scott (Rhonda) Cameron; daughters Heather (Jerry Brown) Cameron-Brown and Andrea Cameron; sister Heather (Roger) Cloitre; sister-in laws Jane (Larry) Wadsworth and Linda Baughman; brother-in-law Charles (Carol) Baughman; grandchildren Taylor Carpenter, Madison Cameron-Brown, David Cameron, and Mary Parra. David is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and his beloved cat, Cricket.

There will be a private service for David at a later date where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Mary, at Ansonia Cemetery.
