William Rosario Sr., affectionately known as "Smokey," age 65, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away on October 25, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on March 7, 1959, in Bridgeport, he was the cherished son of Virginia Rivera Castro, and the late Christopher Rosario Sr. William was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, where he grew up and made countless memories surrounded by friends and family.
Known for his always-happy demeanor, William found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a familiar face at the local park, enjoyed watching TV, and had a deep love for music that he shared with friends while cruising around town. A man of faith, William attended church on Sundays, grounding his life in his spiritual beliefs. Family meant everything to him, and he especially enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with his loved ones.
William is survived by his beloved companion, Rosa Osorio, and his son, William Rosario Jr., lovingly known as "Smokey Jr." He also leaves behind his mother, Virginia Rivera, and his siblings, Norma Levine, Carmen Rosario(Richard), Miriam Caribe, Sylvia Muniz (Juan), Daniel Rosario, Margarita Rivera, Jorge Rivera(Melissa) who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He was predeceased by his father, Christopher Rosario Sr., his brother, Christopher Rosario, and his sister, Lillian Rosario.
A funeral service to honor William’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Community Funeral Chapels, located at 798 Park Ave., Bridgeport, Connecticut, 06604.
