Born in Kiersey, OK on 9/3/1926 – Died on 11-1-2024 in Oklahoma City, OK


She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Peratta, her parents, W.D. Minor Sr. and Bessie Holtzman Minor, and two brothers, W.D. Minor Jr. and Bob Minor.


Longtime Durant resident Edith V. Peratta moved to Oklahoma City in 2016 to be near family, and passed away there. She loved reading and cooking and shared many recipes with numerous people. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Durant where she served in the nursery for many years.


Don and Edith were restaurant owners before their retirement. After retirement, Edith loved to volunteer and The Durant Chamber of Commerce awarded her Volunteer of the Year in 2003. She loved helping people.


Survivors are a son, Larry Peratta and wife Brenda of Oklahoma City, OK, and a daughter, Pamela Rass of Mexico. Grandchildren are Anthony Peratta of Huntsville, AL and Angela Peratta of Huntsville, AL, Carsley Fuller and husband Brent of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, great grandchildren are Morgan Peratta of Huntsville, AL and Jocelyn Fuller of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.


Gravesite rites will be at Highland Cemetery in Durant, OK, on 11/9/2024 at 10:00 am, handled by Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
