Vincent Pavlik, Jr. went to his eternal home on October 30, 2024. He was born on August 8, 1939. He had a long life with great accomplishments. Though he never graduated high school, he had a lifelong career as a self-taught master carpenter. Anyone who knew Vince knew any remodeling or new build would be scrutinized by his eye for carpentry perfection. Vince’s life and homes were always under construction with new ideas, unique structures and unfinished projects of his own his family was accustomed to. He made a loving home with the love of his life, the late Nancy Powlowski, while raising his 8 children. He also ran his own tree service business for many years while working full time, having countless side jobs and still always making time for his family and home. There is not enough space here to share even a fraction of the adventures and memories made with his family.
Vince was a fearless man who always seized opportunities personally and professionally while making many friends throughout his life. Nobody was a stranger. He believed in hard work and instilled in all his children that if you want something, you work for it. Vince had a special gift of seeing completed projects out of a stack of wood. You were able to watch it come to life, just as described and perfectly made. Vince loved adventure and experienced many things in life with most of them not planned. He dabbled in many hobbies but his true gift, drawing, was amazing. Vince loved being outdoors too much and moving constantly to pursue this talent but has many pieces of artwork to be cherished by his loved ones. He wanted his children and grandchildren to each have something to continue his legacy.
One of Vince’s last and greatest accomplishments came late in life and that was finding the Lord Jesus Christ. He knew one day he’d have eternal life, and his children had comfort knowing he would be with their mother again and freed from his earthly body that fought back most of his life and rarely won! He was playfully reminded in his final days that he was not to go to heaven questioning the “Real Master Carpenter.” This really made him giggle.
Vince is survived by his children, Denise, Cheri (Nancy), Robbin (Bud), Karen (Jim), Nancy, Tracey (Burnie), Dana (Trevor), Mike (Heather) and Pam; his siblings Tom, Dotti (Dave), Donnie and Joan (George); his grandchildren,Taylor, Kera (Joe), Krystal, Ellsbeth (Damon), Amira, Aaron, Zachary, Alex (Joe), Greydon(Rachael), Angie (Corey), Emilee, Matthew (Olivia), Curtis (Crystal), Stephen, Bradley, Mitchell, Julian, Kelsey and Rebekah; and his great grandchildren, Valerie, Ellis, Oaklyn, Bailey, Brentley, Bradley, Kayleigh, Beau, Julius, Scarlette, Reid, Harvey, Sapphari, Mariska, Wrenley, Ryan, Angela, Kyrie, Hailee, Waylon, Liam and Conner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Josephine; his brothers, Charlie and Ted; his grandson, Dustin and his first wife, Nancy.
John 11:25
Jesus promised, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live"
