Robbie Norman Rahn Obituary

Robbie Norman Rahn, 58, lifelong resident of Clifford Lake, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born the son of Norman and Blanche Rahn on February 4, 1966. Robbie graduated from Central Montcalm in 1985, and went on to work at Greenville Tool & Die as a Design Engineer for 35 years. Robbie enjoyed many things in life, especially spending time with his beloved dog, Dixie, and later in life with his dog, Sophie. Robbie started his day with a walk down Clifford Lake Drive with friends, followed by going next door to his brother's house, where they would visit and watch “The Price is Right.” He would end his day with a visit from his brother, where they would catch up on their day's activities and watch “Gunsmoke” together. Robbie was known as “Meany Unc” to his nieces; however, he was nothing but the best uncle his nieces could have asked for. Robbie was one that would help anyone, enjoyed doing it and never expected anything in return. He is now reunited with Ma and Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Blanche Rahn and his beloved dog, Dixie. He is survived by his brother, Alan Norman Rahn of Clifford Lake; nieces, Leslie (Larry) Brugel of Clifford Lake, Amie (Eric Wood) Rahn, of St. John’s, and Rebecca (Todd Burnett) Rahn of Lansing; great-nephew, Bryce Alan Buck; three great-nieces, Britney Blanche Buck, Brianna Rose, and Braylin Shay Brugel; and his dog, Sophie.

Robbie was dearly loved by his family and friends; he will be greatly missed. Visitation services will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Friday, November 8 at Hurst Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens.

Robbie’s family would like to express their gratitude towards Corewell Hospice team and Shari for their kindness and unwavering compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Montcalm County Animal Control (154 Quarterline St. Stanton, MI 48888) in Robbie’s honor.
