Patsy Marie Tingley, 86, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care. She retired in 1997 after over twenty years in the transportation department at Illinois Cereal Mills/Cargill.
She was born March 31, 1938, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of the late Floyd and Beulah (Switzer) Gill. She married Donald Edward Tingley on July 21, 1956, in Marshall, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Danny (Jo) Tingley of Paris and Dennis (Teri) Tingley of Marshall, Illinois; a step-son, Donald Steven (Darlene) Tingley of Marshall; two sisters, Marian Brinkerhoff of Champaign, Illinois, and Judy (Jim) Salmon of Schaumberg, Illinois; five grandchildren, Traci Tingley, Denny (Randi) Tingley, Patrick Tingley, Christy Tingley, and Chad Tingley; several great-grandchildren including Kendl Lemmon, Alexis Sims and Olivia Sims, and Gage Tingley; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Gill, a sister, Dorothy Brosman, and a grandson, Michael Tingley.
Mrs. Tingley attended the Paris Church of God. She enjoyed helping her husband in the operation of their trucking business for a number of years. Patsy will be remembered as an independent, proud, and hard-working person who was not afraid to share her opinions. Above all else, she was fiercely devoted to her husband and her family.

SERVICE INFORMATION
Services celebrating her life will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Templeton Funeral Home with Pastor Chris White officiating. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
