Robert M. "Bob" McLaughlin, age 65, passed away at Crozer Chester Medical Center after a short illness. Bob was born, raised, and educated in Chester PA where he was a 1977 graduate of St. James High School. Bob has been a resident of Brookhaven since 2003.
Bob was a Longshoreman with Boilmakers Local 802 (Pier 82) for 20 years. He enjoyed baseball and basketball as a young man and has been a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan his entire life. He enjoyed cooking, the casinos, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, and has been a longtime friend and supporter of Bill and Bob. He has been a member of St. Robert's Church, Chester, Our Lady of Charity, Brookhaven, and St Rose of Lima, Eddystone.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Patricia Grace McLaughlin and was the uncle of the late Bridget Loftus.
SURVIVORS: His beloved wife of 21 years Janet Guenzel McLaughlin, and his cherished children Fred and Luna (Bassett Hounds!). His siblings Patricia McLaughlin, Dr. Raymond S. McLaughlin (Valerie), and Bernadette Louden (William), nieces and nephews: Raymond McLaughlin, Daniel McLaughlin, Christopher Carney, Andrew Louden, Meghan Capuzzi, and Patrick Louden. Also survived by many friends and neighbors. Bob will be missed by all but will never be forgotten.
VISITATION: Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston and Thursday morning from
10:00am -10:45am at St. Rose of Lime Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone.
FUNERAL MASS: 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Church.
BURIAL: Will be Private
