Joann “Patty” (Lockwood) Jackson, 77, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on February 7, 1947 in Lafayette to the late John Wayne and Gladys (Graham) Watkins.
Patty graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School, and worked as a CNA and QMA, primarily for Regency Place in Lafayette, where she spent ten years.
On May 16, 1964, Patty was married to William Lee Jackson in Lafayette, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2009.
Patty loved working on crossword puzzles and watching her soap operas, cooking shows, and classic movies. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis and country music. More than anything, Patti was very family-oriented, and loved the time spent with them camping, at cookouts, and family get togethers.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Michael Sharp) Hufty, Lori (Roy) Barricks, Brad Jackson, and Scott (Allison) Jackson. Patti also leaves 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
There will be a visitation for Patty on Monday, November 4th from 4-7 p.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, November 5th at 1 p.m. at Hippensteel with Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating. Patty will then be laid to rest at Clarks Hill Cemetery.
