Born on July 27, 1935, in Bay City, Michigan, Howard's life was characterized by his intelligence, handiness, and generosity, traits that endeared him to all who knew him.
Howard spent his career as a skilled trades worker at General Motors, where his expertise as a mechanic was not only recognized but also deeply appreciated by his colleagues. Howard’s love for his community was evident in his involvement, and he could often be seen engaging in club activities and contributing to the common good.
Away from work, Howard was an avid outdoorsman. His passion for hunting, fishing, and camping was a testament to his love for nature and the tranquil beauty of Michigan’s landscapes. Evenings spent playing BINGO were another source of joy for Howard, providing him with cherished moments of camaraderie and lighthearted competition.
Howard's intelligence shone through in every aspect of his life. He had a knack for solving problems and could often be found tinkering with a new gadget or fixing something around the house. His hands were skilled, and he had a generous spirit, always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge with friends, family, and neighbors.
The Williams family patriarch was a devoted family man, and nothing brought him more happiness than the time he spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his children, Darlene Phillips, Joyce Craven, Lynn (Oscar) Pate, Sue Darden, and Howard (Yvonne) Williams Jr. Howard's legacy will also be carried on by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will miss his guidance, wisdom, and the stories he shared.
