Pam Humphries Huett Obituary

Pam Humphries Huett 67, of Andrews passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024. She was a native of Long Island, New York but moved to Andrews as a young woman. She proudly served in the United States Army. She then began a lengthy career in law enforcement. Pam completed B.L.K.T. and became the first deputy Sherriff in Swain County where she worked until retirement. She was proud to protect and serve her community as a law enforcement officer. She enjoyed playing chess and was well known among online chess enthusiasts. Pam was a dedicated wife and mother and was well loved by her community, friends and family.


She was the daughter of the late Harold and Lorraine Weckerle Humphries and the wife of the late Darryl Gene Huett, who died August 17, 2001. She was the last surviving of seven siblings.


Surviving are one son, Thomas Clayton Huett of Andrews, North Carolina; she is also survived by many close friends she made throughout life.


A private celebration of life will be held.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Pam Humphries Huett to Valley River Humane Society, P.O. Box 658 Murphy, North Carolina 28906.
