BROOKLIN-Ronald W. Fowle, 91, died peacefully on October 30, 2024, at the Veterans Home in Bangor.

He was born on November 16, 1932, in Newburyport, MA, a son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Teague) Fowle. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. He owned and operated Ron’s Contracting serving both the Down East and Central Maine regions. He was a master electrician by trade and also worked for the postal service for 10 years as a letter carrier.

Ron loved hunting and fishing. When he was younger, he was a scout master for many years and really enjoyed working with the kids. He was a member of the American Legion, Shriners, Odd Fellows, and The Masons, belonging both to the Corinthian Lodge #95 and Naskeag Lodge #171 A.F. and A.M.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Fowle; children: Ronald Fowle II and wife Debbie, Edward Fowle and wife Monica, and Deborah Fowle; grandchildren: Ronald Fowle III and wife Laura, and Matthew Fowle and wife Tiffany; great grandchildren: Joshua Vandermartin and wife Sachiko, Jacob Vandermartin and wife Sara, and Bethany Fowle;

He was predeceased by two children: Margaret and Wayne “Mike”, three siblings: Barry Fowle, Virginia Aldrich, and Alan Fowle.

A Masonic service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A private committal will be held by the family at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
