Daniel Eli Bryant, 41, of Hattiesburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Greens Creek Baptist Church in Carson. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. Inurnment will follow the service in Martin-Lott Cemetery in Sumrall.
Mr. Bryant proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 2003 until 2007. During that time, he served as a Senior Airman in Iraq, earning many medals and awards, including, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and many others. He then went on to serve in the United States Army National Guard as a Seargent. He again earned many awards and medals during this time. More recently, he worked as a Floor Man for Noram Drilling Company. Daniel was an avid fisherman and a hard worker. He attended church at Greens Creek Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harland and Era Skaggs; his paternal grandparents, Cleo and Louise Bryant; his aunt, Natalie White; and his cousin, Lori Beth Skaggs.
He is survived by his father, Daniel Bryant (Wendy) of Purvis; his mother, Melanie Stuart (Lewis) of Carson; his sisters, Erin Wise (Sean) of Sacramento, CA and Candace Carney (Brandon) of Kokomo; his brothers, Cody Stuart (Ila) of D’Iberville, Noah Bryant of Purvis, Brit Daughdrill of Collins, and Ethan Daughdrill (Sabrina) of Buckeye, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
