Mary A. Case Obituary

With great sadness we share the passing of a beautiful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mary A. Case on October 30, 2024. Mary was born on April 17, 1937 in Sturgis, KY to James and Pearl Dailey.

She lost her hearing at a very young age and she attended a boarding school for the deaf. She subsequently met and married Robert Case on July 10, 1954. They went on to have 5 children while she worked as a homemaker and adoring mother. When the kids were old enough, Mary worked various jobs outside the home. She was a money sorter before the days of bill counters, a candy room stocker and hotel housekeeping supervisor. Mary loved working outdoors and there was no landscape job that she was scared to tackle. She had a serious green thumb and plants thrived in her care. As a pastor’s wife, she moved often with various church homes in Milwaukee, Memphis, St. Louis, Houston, Omaha and Los Angeles. Mary loved seeing people happy and she enjoyed planning and organizing church events. Most importantly, she loved God and her family was her life. She is proud to have 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren to spoil.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of love and memories in the hearts of her daughter, Kathleen Meyer and husband Robert, Jr., her son Ritchie Case and wife Elizabeth; son, Roger Case, her adoring grandchildren Graham Case and wife Marilyn, Michael Case and wife Amelia, Melissa Maday and husband Joshua, Robert Meyer, III, Christina Vesel and husband Eric, Catherine Kosloske and husband Andrew, Jeffrey Feldhusen and wife Erin, Shawn Case, Shannon Case, Elizabeth Case, Max Case, fourteen great grandchildren and her siblings Helen Stanley, Christine Ervin, James Dailey, Barbara Corley and Teresa Bebout.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert D. Case, parents, James and Pearl Dailey; daughter, Cynthia Case; son, Jimmy Case; grandchild, Christian Meyer, siblings Katherine Mayes, Elsie Hazel.
