Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend

Digna E. del Valle, 80, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Digna was the daughter of the late Jose and Angela (Ferro) Martinez. A devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and friend, Digna dedicated her life to her family. She always saw the good qualities in people and never had anything bad to say about anyone. Digna is survived by her beloved husband Sergio del Valle , her children Jose Migel del Valle and Xiomara del Valle, siblings Pablo Martinez and Gladys Martinez, and one granddaughter Bianca. She was predeceased by her siblings Juanito Martinez and Yillo Martinez.

She was a warrior until the end. A fighter for life like no other. Her kids, husband, family and friends are proud to say they knew her and were part of her life.

The funeral will be Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10:30 AM from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Newark at 11:30AM. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:00PM – 8:00PM.
