Alex J. Rivera, affectionately known as "Javi," age 41 of Milford, Connecticut, passed away on October 29, 2024, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on February 3, 1983, to Cesar Rivera and Evelyn Heredia, Javi was raised in Bridgeport before relocating to Milford in his early 20s. He was a devoted and beloved husband to Yamil Lopez and a cherished father.

Javi was a man full of life, known for his hardworking spirit, joyful nature, and unshakable faith in God. He shared his love for laughter and had a special way of bringing humor to those around him. His passions included working on cars and enjoying long drives, and he took pride in being a supportive and caring father to his three sons and a perfect husband.

Javi was predeceased by his father, Cesar Rivera, his brother, Cesar A. Rivera, and his son, Alex J. Rivera Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Heredia; his loving wife, Yamil Lopez; his sisters, Leticia Rivera and Lisa Rivera; his sons, Cesar A. Rivera and Alexander Gino Rivera; and his godson, Adonis Smart. He also leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, including his niece, Evelyn Roman; his niece, Gianalyize Skye Blake; his nephew, Edgardo Patron; his nephew, Nashon Riley; his great-niece, Milani Patron; his Great nephew Jasiah Patron as well as his stepchildren. Javi will be fondly remembered for the laughter, strength, and boundless love he brought to everyone who knew him.
