Leonard W. Dashnaw (Mr. Bill), 72, of Constable, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his home.

Leonard was born October 4, 1952, in Plattsburgh to Ernest and Geraldine (Collins) Dashnaw.


He served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974. After his time in the Army he worked at Pactiv in Plattsburgh where he retired from. He married his wife, Rose, October 2, 1976.


Leonard enjoyed spending time with family, scratching lottery tickets and riding four wheelers.

He is predeceased by his wife, parents, granddaughter, Ruthie Yeddo, and a sister, Wanda.


He is survived by his children, Wendy (Ryan) Tierney and Sheena (Derek) Yeddo; grandchildren, Desirae, Ryan, Tyler, Vivian and Isabella; and siblings, Rex (Lynn) Dashnaw of Onchiota, Richard Dashnaw of Lyon Mountain, Debbie (Joe) Garsow of Plattsburgh and Ernest Dashnaw of Florida as well as his brother-in-law, Malcolm Whitney of Albany.


A graveside service will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Bosco Cemetery.
