John Fernald Tuck Obituary

John Fernald Tuck

July 31, 1944 – October 27, 2024

John passed away peacefully after a brief illness.

John was born and raised in Larchmont NY, where he was active in his church and in the Civil Air Patrol. He lived briefly in New York City while working at the New York Eye Hospital and later moved to Puerto Rico, was co-owner of a supper club, and then lived in Florida for some time before returning to Larchmont. He moved to Dover, Delaware, in 1997 and was a resident of Heritage at Dover/Dover Place for more than 20 years.

John was an avid fan of railroading, was a great walker, and enjoyed horseback riding and playing all sorts of games including golf, chess and backgammon. He traveled extensively in the U. S. and the Caribbean. And most of all John loved everybody he met.

He is survived by two brothers, Henry D. Tuck (Denise) and Alan W. Tuck (Susan), five cousins, Laurence Tuck, Katy Rydell, William Draper, Carolyn Rivers and Liza Williams, five nieces and nephews and 8 grandnieces and grandnephews.

A private ceremony for family is planned.
