Jeanne Susan (Teigen) Lundgren

March 11, 1945 – October 14, 2024

Jeanne Susan (Teigen) Lundgren, age 79, of Providence, RI, and San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024. Her parents, Ingwald (Tige) Teigen, Jan 1973, and Aaget Anderson, July 1984, predeceased her. Jeanne is survived by her sister, Mary Teigen Wofford; nieces, Michelle Marie and Melissa Jo Wofford; and three grands, Reed, Lauren and Rebecca.

Born in Virginia, Minnesota, Jeanne was a dedicated nurse specializing in cardiac care. She was known for her unwavering dedication to her patients, her kindness, and her skill in the medical field. Jeanne went to Stormont Vale School of Nursing in Topeka Kansas, and graduated in 1978. She worked for over 30 years in nursing, specializing in Cardiac Care. She worked in Kansas, and later moved to Rhode Island in 1985 where she continued her nursing career.

Jeanne’s compassion and expertise touched many lives throughout her career. She was a beloved aunt, sister, and a friend to many, always offering a listening ear and a helping hand. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and the many patients she cared for.

She also loved her dogs, and always had one or two by her side. One of her favorites was her Dachshunds.

Jeanne moved to San Antonio in 2022.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia, Minnesota on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity or cause of your choice.
