Well, done my good and faithful servant. Evelyn Kindred passed away on Thursday October 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 13, 1935, in Athens to the late Reagin and Margaret Sheeley Warren. Evelyn graduated from Sam Houston State University, while she was there, she met and married the love of her life, Jack. She then started an incredible career in education. She started her teaching career in Conroe and San Antonio and upon returning to Athens she spent 3 years with the Brownsboro Independent School District, she then in 1965 started her tenure with the Athens Independent School District which lasted until her retirement on June 30, 1992. During those years in Athens, she was the director of personnel and communications. She loved her church and was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Athens until her health interfered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reagin and Margaret Warren, husband, Jack Kindred and brother Glenn Warren.

Survivors include her daughter Natalie Morgan and husband Ralph of Tyler, son, Kevin Kindred of Dallas, grandchildren, Jarrod Kindred and wife Madison and Madalyn Morgan.

A private family graveside will be held.
