Vera Jacquelyn “Jackie” Termine (nee Hinson) passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024 in Staten Island, NY. Jackie was born on June 1, 1939 in Statesboro, Georgia. Being part of an Army family, Jackie had the opportunity to live in many places, including Hawaii. Jackie grew up in Columbus, Georgia where she met the love of her life, Patrick “Cheach” Termine, while he was stationed at Fort Benning.

Jackie and Patrick were married shortly after, with Jackie relocating to Brooklyn, New York to start raising a family together. Jackie worked at Chemical Bank in Manhattan. She was a constant presence at her children’s schools, volunteering her time. Jackie then started working for the NYC Department of Sanitation as a civilian clerk at BK 11 in Brooklyn, NY. She also served as a DC 37 union delegate for many years.

Jackie enjoyed traveling and was always planning the next trip. She especially loved going to Aruba and Atlantic City. She loved 50’s and 60’s music and would be the first one up to dance. Jackie continued to volunteer her time throughout her life and was part of The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary serving as their President for many years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and took great pride in supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jackie adored her family and loved spending time with them whether it was going out to a restaurant, going to the movies, baking her famous Christmas cookies, or watching her Yankees on TV with them.

Jackie’s husband of 45 years, Patrick Termine, predeceased her in 2007. Jackie is survived by her two sons and daughter in law, Michael Termine, and Joe and Joanne Termine, a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Darren D’Alora, her grandsons, Pasquale D’Alora and Joseph and John Termine, great granddaughter Fiorella, and brother Raymond Goettman.
