Carlene R. Cobb Obituary

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Carlene Cobb, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 74. Carlene loved Jesus and was ready to go be with him.

Carlene was born on September 29, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Albert Raymond and Martha Joyce Wallar. Carlene grew up in Oklahoma City and then the Choctaw, Oklahoma area. She graduated from Choctaw High School in 1969. Carlene took cosmetology in high school and became a hairdresser. She worked in Midwest City until her marriage took her to Texas.

That is where she became a mother to her son Christopher. While living in Texas Carlene became and member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Pasadena Texas. When her marriage dissolved, she and Chris moved back home to Oklahoma. She transferred her membership to the Midwest City Church. A few years later through a mutual friend she was reacquainted to a childhood friend whose name was Odell Cobb. They became inseparable and got married on February 22, 1988. Odell took Chris in as his own and has been a great husband and dad.

Carlene was born with a love for animals. Primarily horses. Long before she was able to have one, she sketched them in her Big Chief tablets, school papers, or any other scrap of paper she could find. She was a great artist. When she lived in Texas, she was a member of the Pasadena Texas Mounted Police. She was also a member of the Choctaw round up club where she held positions and helped promote rodeos and parades. Her and Odell also became members of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association where they won several prize belt buckles.

Carlene was a fun loving and humorous person and she will be missed deeply. Carlene was preceded in death by her father, A. Raymond and her mother, Martha, brothers, A. Eugene and Raymond L. and grandson, Christian. She is survived by her husband, Odell; son, Christopher Nichols and bonus children, LeAnn Armstrong and husband Scott, Christina Stokesbury and husband Christopher, Sean Cobb and wife Michelle, and Crystal Cobb; grandchildren, Caitlin, Brianna, Zerek, Lathan, Alexandria, Trinity, and Paxton; great granddaughter, Kimia; sister, Joyce Rice and husband Rodger; and several nieces and nephews, and cousins. Also, many fur babies and a feather baby.
