Teresa Jean Morris, 96, passed away on October 17, 2024 in West Des Moines. She was born in Rathbun, IA on May 18 1928 to Rode and Antonia Polich.

Teresa was a 1945 Graduate from Rathbun High School. In 1948 she completed her associates degree at Drake University College of Education and married Vincent Morris December 3, 1948, to that union 6 children were born. In 1970 she received her Bachelors of Science in Education and taught at the Van Meter, IA Schools from 1967 to 1993.

Teresa is survived by daughters, Susan Topping (Ron), Ann Marie Lendved (Roger); sons, Steven, Patrick (Marilea), Dan (Mindi) and David; grandchildren, Cody (Nola), Jacob Topping (Crystal), Allison and Michael (Nancy); and 3 great grandchildren, Alexandra & Charlotte Topping and Hap Morris; step-grandchildren, Stacey Larsen (David), Matthew McAtee (Amy), Josh Lendved (Lisa); step-great grandchildren, Derek, Gabe and Eden Larsen, Ayden, Addyson, Carter, and Brecken Topping, Milo and Wyatt McAtee and Benny Lendved; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Vincent Morris; step-grandson, Matthew Topping (Amber); her parents; sisters, Rose Starcevich and Pauline Kuchan; and brother, Victor Polich.

Private services will be held at Iles Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center and private burial at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
