Shawn Patrick Kelly

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shawn Patrick Kelly on October 14, 2024, at the age of 38. Born on November 13, 1985, Shawn was a beloved son, nephew, and friend, known for his infectious sense of humor and kind heart. Shawn came into the world in Killeen, Texas in 1985 to Bonnie Rae Fields and Kevin

Kelly. Growing up Shawn loved spending time with his family, getting into trouble with his friends, and playing video games. A graduate of Batavia High School, class of 2005, Shawn was deeply loved by his peers and teachers alike. He had an enthusiasm for all things tech-related, a love for animals, especially pugs, and enjoyed sipping on a Coors Light.

Shawn is preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Rae Fields; his father Kevin Kelly; his maternal grandmother Bonnie Fields; his maternal grandfather Alvin Fields; and his aunts, Luan Fields and Wendy Fields. Shawn is survived by his uncle James (Tammy) Fields; his cousins Cheyenne Fields (Alex Turk) and Shannon Fields (Robert Remy); his great aunt Nita “Shorty” Tripp; his best friend Casey Banbury; and numerous friends and extended family who will miss him dearly. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 11th, 2024 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Montgomery, IL, from 4 P .M. - 7 P .M. where friends and family are invited to celebrate Shawn's life and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a suicide prevention organization. Cherish and love your family.
