Ruby Perry Obituary
Ruby "MaDea" Fournier Perry was born on July 2, 1925 in New Orleans, LA to the late Paul and Margaret Fournier. She was educated in the Orleans Parish School System, as well as St. Peter Claver Catholic School. Ruby's working years were spent at D.H. Holmes, Lynn's Department Store and Mercy Hospital. She is a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, "MaDea" is also preceded in death by her aunts, Lucille and Eleanor Fournier; son, Reginald Fournier, Sr.; grandson, Ronald Fournier, Jr.; brothers, Arthur Hatfield and Bud Fournier; sisters, Pauline and Margaret Fournier. Mrs. Perry leaves to cherish precious memories, her loving husband, Lenzo Perry; children, Henry Fournier, Sr.; (Laura), Arthur Fournier, Ronald Fournier, Sr. (Donna), Anthony Fournier, Sr. (Lisa), Dianne Perry, (the late Bernard), Shawlean Williams (the late Alvin), Timmy Perry (Marilyn) and Sheila Andry (Mark); sister-in-law, Ruby Hatfield, daughter-in-law, Elnora Fournier, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. "MaDea," you are deeply missed and forever loved. To the queen of our hearts, "Job well done!" All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Ruby Fournier Perry, which will be held at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10 am. Her final resting place, Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., New Orleans, LA 70122.
