<p>Elbert Earl Humphrey, age 83, of San Antonio Texas (formerly of Richlands), passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of Mr. Humphrey's life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Harrison Chapel A.M.E Church, 205 Dreadnaught St., Richlands, NC 28574. A viewing will be held one hour (1) prior to the service.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will follow at Saunders Memorial Gardens.</p><p><br></p><p>His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Melenda Young-Humphrey of the home; children, Andrea Humphrey and Eric Humphrey both of Fayetteville; siblings, Irene Harrison of Richlands, Rev. Benjamin Humphrey, Jr. of Winston-Salem, Betty G. Humphrey of Yorktown, VA and Darlene Batts (Elijah) of Hampstead and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.</p>Obituary
