Elishama Louis came into the world on January 7th, 2004, a beloved third child among five. She was welcomed by Emmanuel and Gertrude Louis with love and admiration.
Elishama grew up as a fiery young girl, vibrant, bold, and not afraid to speak up. Her presence brought joy and warmth to the family. She was known for her infectious smile and enthusiastic personality.
Despite her sluggish mornings, Elishama was always an intelligent girl. It was always a challenge when waking her from bed to get ready for school. This either meant her smacking you on her way to the bathroom or yelling in frustration as she quickly dressed herself to catch the bus.
Her ambition was to follow in her mother's footsteps and pursue a culinary career. Cooking was her passion. However, her passion for cooking was especially expressed on Fridays. She would dedicate that day to creating new, scrumptious, and sweet treats. She made everyone taste her cooking and give their opinions on how to make them even more savory. Among all her culinary creations, she especially loved making Haitian patties. She relished the thrill of blending the dry ingredients and kneading the dough to create the final masterpiece, and above all, thoroughly enjoyed this process.
This past year she had just completely dedicated her life to the Lord by stepping into the commitment of baptism. She wanted to live a renewed and upright life with the Lord. Throughout these past few months it was very evident that the Lord was working in her. Her character began to transform and she became a refined servant of God.
She is survived by her parents: Gertrude Louis and Emmanuel Louis, her siblings: Gerdaline Louis, Nehemie Louis, Elijah Louis, Emmanuella Louis, and Eden Louis.
Her cousins: Loudia Joseph, Salomon Joseph, Wolph Joseph, Loudjina Joseph, Samuel Joseph, Jonathan Joseph, Stevenson Pierre, Gamaniel Guerssaint, Rebecca Guerssaint, Tanya Alcuis, Tamera Alcius, Jason Dort, Savannah Joseph, Tholeme Ysrael, Yonel Ysrael, Odespierre Joseph.
Her aunts and uncles: Sael Joseph, Yvonie Dorne, Robely Joseph, Evena Guerssaint, Melande Alcius, Louis Enock Alcius, Jasmine Louissaint.
