John Wagner Jr, 53, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on October 16, 2024, at The Waters of Scottsburg in Scottsburg, IN. John was born on December 1, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio to John Wagner Sr. and the late Dessie Case. John worked many years in the manufacturing industry. He loved all the years of being called "coach", playing cards, watching professional wrestling, writing songs, and hanging out with friends. He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Deputy, IN. John is preceded in death by his mother Dessie Case and stepfather Joe Case. He is survived by his father, John Wagner Sr. of Cynthiana, KY; his three sisters, Crystal Thomason, of Glencoe, KY, Valeen Wagner, of Florence, KY, Theresa (Kevin) Brandenburg, of Cynthiana, KY; four brothers, John Wagner, of Melbourne, FL, Josh Wagner, of Georgetown, KY, Mickey Cornelius, of Scottsburg, IN, and Jessie (Amy) Cornelius, of Rubicon, WI;17 nieces and nephews; and 13 great nieces and nephews with one on the way. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. A celebration of life is planned for October 26 th , 2-4 PM at The American Legion in Scottsburg.
