Oralia Teresa Genovese Obituary
Cpt. Oralia Teresa Genovese, USAF, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, in Floresville, Texas at
the age of 87 years. She was born in Laredo, Texas on May 9, 1937.
Oralia proudly served our country in the US Air Force. She bravely served as a combat nurse in
Vietnam and earned numerous awards and decorations for her service.
Oralia married the love of her life, Guy Orville Genovese in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 26, 1970.
Oralia is preceded in death by her husband, Guy and her mother, Ofilia Pena. She is survived by her
daughter, Susan Starnes; granddaughters, Melissa Bender and Stephanie Fulcher; niece, Terrie
Benavides; godson and grandnephew, Kaelan Frederickson; goddaughter and grandniece, Elisabeth
Frederickson.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Wednesday, October 30,
2024, at 2:30 pm.
